🍷 La La Land Ending Reddit
I just finished watching La La Land and I'm not okay. Flair: Cringe inducing gushing. I started watching this movie a while back to see what the hype was all about. At that point of time, I hadn't watched any Ryan Gosling movies other than The Notebook and I wasn't a fan. I found La La land to be quite slow moving and kept it on my watch list
Fa la la la la la From a flow'ry bed to the clouds ascend Tumble down again Fa la la la la la Yet with each descent do we rise again To our hearts' content Fa la la la la la Fly away my friend for a day and then We'll begin again Fa la la la la la Till down turn the skies Wonted quiet, wanton silence For long do we lie Wond'ring when we'll be
My problem with the ending: I don't think the emotional gut punch in the ending is deserved. Alright so quick rundown Mia and Sebastian both agree to split to pursue their dreams. They agree they need to give it their everything in order to achieve their goals.
La La Land, on the other hand, did a lot differently than most movies of its ilk. For one thing, it mainly took inspiration from foreign musicals from 45+ years prior that had all been forgotten by most people. And the melancholy ending is unlike pretty much every other modern Oscar contender that I can think of.
An advanced piano arrangement of the entire "Epilogue" track from La La Land's score.Sheet Music: http://mnot.es/2uR7rNuThanks to Zaira for letting me film o
In La La Land (2016), why didn't Sebastian not ride to his car? Question. Soon after Mia finds her car, she offered him a ride to his car. He was like no, my car is just right up here and points to the other side. Once she leaves, we see him walk away in the opposite direction to his car, which was actually on the way to where Mia drove away.
Mia starts telling her story and transitions into song, and from the lighting change we know that we have entered into the 'alternate reality' of the musical sequence. The 'real' Mia is not actually singing to her prospective employers. The 'song' is part of the stylised fantasy lens through which we occasionally are invited to look.
This is how raw camera's are suppose to shoot. Things look ugly without coloring to provide a flat image. I totally agree that he color is one hundred percent a essential part but without the cinematography in place the coloring of a terrible shot will still look terrible.
La La Land will have a trajectory nothing like Spotlight. Spotlight has no rewatch value. It's a workmanlike movie shot like it was made for TV. It won because of its message, not because of its craftsmanship. The opposite can be said for LA La Land. 0. [deleted] • 7 yr. ago. Spotlight is worse than La La Land. 0.
The film begins with a crowd of young people sitting in terrible LA traffic in the hot sun, as a superimposed title ironically tells us that it's "Winter." It looks miserable. As everyone breaks
Yeah I mean, everything is open to interpretation. I don't think La La Land is that cynical too, it's wholesome overall. "The fools who dream" is song that makes something hopeful and finds dignity in something that would make other people say "look at these fools who believe they are gonna make it in the industry, ha!".
One the one hand, yes it's funny that someone thinks La La Land has one of the most brutal ending ever but, on the other hand, it's a LetterBoxd review that is longer than 1 sentence. So it's a net positive

Joel's memory of Clementine is so beautiful and it hurts that they'll fall in love with each other every single time. The ending is just simply amazing (soundtrack is amazing, cinematography is SO SO beautiful). I loved La La Land because of similar reasons as above. This movie deals with dreams and love, but it's not really typical.
So I went to go see "La La Land" today alone, on the recommendation of a couple of friends, and I was literally obliterated by my feels. I think I spend the last hour or so like ugly crying in the worst way possible. I hardcore related to the love story especially with an ENFP ex of mine. Our relationship was quite similar in start (and
